Younger sister
Mila, and the journal that started it
Mila is the younger sister whose late-night journalling turns into jealous glances at her sister's boyfriend. The series is hers: ten episodes told from inside her head rather than his.
Who is Mila?
Mila is the younger sister whose late-night journalling turns into jealous glances at her sister's boyfriend. The series is hers: ten episodes told from inside her head rather than his.
The point of view
The series could easily have been told from the boyfriend’s side — most of this catalogue would have been. It is told from Mila’s instead, and the journal is the device that makes it possible: we are reading what she admits to herself before anyone else hears it.
The synopsis is careful about sequence. Journalling first, then the glances, then the connection. Nothing is announced; everything accumulates.
Why ten episodes suits her
Only 2 series in the catalogue run to ten episodes. A story about not saying something needs the length — five episodes would force a confession by the midpoint purely to have somewhere to go.
