Simona Rossi, and the fifteen episodes named after her
Simona Rossi is a college dropout living alongside a stepbrother she is not supposed to want. Her series is fifteen episodes long and the only one in the catalogue that opens three of them free.
Who is Simona Rossi?
Simona Rossi is a college dropout living alongside a stepbrother she is not supposed to want. Her series is fifteen episodes long and the only one in the catalogue that opens three of them free.
The character the series is named after
Putting a character’s name in the title is a commitment: the series has to be about her rather than about a situation she is in. This one mostly keeps it.
Simona is a college dropout with a run of bad ex-boyfriends behind her, parents who have responded by tightening every rule, and a stepbrother she has started noticing. The synopsis frames the attraction as the thing arriving on top of an already difficult year, which is a more generous reading of a character than this catalogue usually offers.
Why her series is worth knowing about
It is the only one of the platform’s 167 series that opens three free episodes instead of two — Almost Caught, The Secret Deal, Awkward Breakfast. Three episodes is long enough to watch a dynamic develop rather than just be announced.
